Style - Surreal

This is an advert about Old Spice, a mens aftershave. All the way throughout this advert there is use of surreal things happening. This advert is trying to pull the audience in by putting unreal situations in there. Obviously you couldn't have tickets in your hand one minute and then they change into diamonds, it's impossible, however I think that's what makes the advert so interesting and will actually catch people's attention.


 This advert has been created to grab the attention of both women and men. The man in the advert is saying if women want their partners to look like him, then they need the aftershave he has, Old spice. I think this is a clever way of promoting the aftershave as if a man was watching this I think he'd want to be staying on 'trend' and wearing something that women are aware of.


The demographic group for this advert I think are mainly women aged 20-40. I think women mainly as at the start of the advert the man featured addresses women when he says if you want your partner to look and smell like me. It's quite funny in that they're saying everything a woman wants, the man will have for them if he wears the aftershave.
