Style - Parodic

This advert is promoting Pepsi. It uses celebrity endoresement as Elton John is one of the main people in this advert, an american idol winner also sings in here. It's making a parody of talent show, Melanie Amero, the singer, actually won American Idol, and she's singing her winners song Respect. So this advert is actually promoting obviously Pepsi and Melanie Amero's song.

It's good that they have used celebrity endoresement as everybody will already be familiar with Elton John as he's worldwide and Melanie Amero as she has just won American idol, and as this advert was shown at Superbowl then everybody would have seen it.

In the advert you see Elton John being a type of judge and people have to perform infront of him, if he doesn't like what he sees then he has a lever that he can ull and the people diassapear. Tghen it comes to Melanie Amero's turn, she sings and he then says she can have a pepsi for it and she says everybody can have one, and pulls the lever on him.

This is basically saying Pepsi is for everyone which I think is really clever. The advert is very effective I think as straight away it grabs your attention as we see Elton John at the start and he's a worldwide sensation so I think people would take time and watch it.

I think the demographic group for this advert is 15-40 year olds as I think people in that age bracket will know of X Factor USA and obviously Elton John, everybody also knows Pepsi. So I think these three things associated together will like the advert.
